Jean-Marie Duchange, born in Saint-Nazairein in 1919, worked in the Sanitary Agent in the Central Highlands of Vietnam from 1952 to 1955.
He took beautiful pictures to record his missions. These photographs preserved at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, are valuable evidences of the local people’s life in the 1950s. Admirable costumes, hair styles, and jewels for men and women that are not popular today will be seen in those photos. Visitors can also find out about nowadays traditional houses, baskets, gongs, and rituals in this exhibition, the Central Highlands of Vietnam in the 1950s.
