  1. Carry out the study about the role of elephants in the life of ethnic peoples living in the Central Highlands and collect objects related to this topic to prepare for a temporary exhibition; display the big drum – an object collected in the Philippines;
  2. Continue the implementation of two ministry-level research projects Preservation and Promotion of the Values of Folk Water Puppetry in Communities (through Studies at Folk Water Puppetry Troupes in the Northern Delta) and Dug-out Canoes in the Lives of Some Ethnic Peoples in the Central Highlands as well as two projects funded by the NAFOSTED Settlement on Land and Cultural Changes of Inhabitants Living on Water in Hạ Long Bay (Quảng Ninh) and Tam Giang – Cầu Hai Lagoon (Thừa Thiên-Huế) and Changes in Spiritual Culture of Hmông People Migrating from the Northwest Area to Đắk Lắk Province, complete these four projects on schedule and ensure their scientific quality; Continue to conduct the project Impacts of Television on the Changes in Thái’s Families in Việt Nam in Nghệ An Province;
  3. Complete the draft of the book The VietnamMuseum of Ethnology: 20 years Opening to the Public;
  4. Repair the stairs of the Banah’s house and the wooden floor in front of the main door of the Ede long house; complete the system of signposts within the Museum and the system of photo panels along the fence of the Museum;
  5. Maintain the activity of safeguarding and promoting cultural heritage through such programs as New Year Program, International Children’s Day program, Mid-Autumn Festival, water puppetry performances, and educational programs associated with exhibitions;
  6. Publish four volumes of the Museum & Anthropology Review on schedule and ensure their scientific quality; issue newsletters quarterly;
  7. Complete content of the new website in Vietnamese along with the updating for its English and French version.
