In 2015, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology continues to diversify types of training for its staff: professional trainings, management capacity building, working method instruction, postgraduate education etc.
This year, one museum staff has successfully defended her doctoral thesis, 6 others have successfully defended their master’s thesis, and more than 10 people are enrolling in postgraduate programs at some training institutes inside and outside the country. Until September 2015, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology has a total of 83 staff, of whom are 35 postgraduate people (2 professors, 8 PhDs, and 25 masters). It is one of the museums that have the biggest number of postgraduate staff in Vietnam today.
The museum also organized a number of domestic training courses and sent its staff to international trainings to improve professional skills. In 2015, some Museum staff attended training courses in Singapore and Malaysia and international conferences in Thailand and South Korea. As a result, the Museum’s staff have gained new knowledge and skills, which helps them better meet the requirements of work.
