In two days, June 21st and June 22nd, 2016, the workshop Museum Management, Exhibition Displays and Museum Communications was organized at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (VME) on the base of the cooperation between the VME and the National Museum of Australia. This is a collaborative activity proceed from the temporary exhibition Canning: Stock Routes displaying some paintings of the aboriginals in the West of Australia at the VME from May 18th through June 19th. The workshop aimed to improve the capacity of museum workers in Việt Nam in terms of exhibition development and museum communications. Participants of the workshop were from museums in Hanoi and some provincial museums in Lào Cai, Yên Bái, Vinh, Quảng Bình, Đà Nẵng, Kon Tum, Gia Lai...

Two museum experts from the National Museum of Australia shared with the participants their experience in exhibition development, especially temporary exhibitions and travelling exhibitions, as well as communications planning and communications strategy in museums. Discussions about the workshop theme deepened the participants' understandings about ways to diversify exhibitions and communications activities of museums.
